Purpose of This Blog

This blog is a mixture of self-help and contemplative practice; alternative healing applied to western worries. For the most part, we are going to be learning about mindfulness and writing so that we can all continue to delve into ourselves and grow as writers.

This blog will help you to look at everyday things, such as your tendency to perpetually hit the “like” button or compare yourself to other writers, in new ways. You can then learn more about writing and blogging in your life because you will become more aware of what is holding you back, and what other writers are experiencing in regard to those things.

So get on board, check back often, and let me know what you think.

More About Me:

I have alternated in my life between being a massage therapist, a one-woman content mill, a jewelry-maker that sells “local art” (wherever I happened to be) and a therapeutic counselor. I have also done house painting, retail clothes-selling and office-assisting. I was a booking agent for an awesome folk singer and a Chainbooks author. These are the petals on the daisy of “my professional experience.”

I have gone to liberal arts college, herbal school, and massage school; as well as an alternative healing school that taught little bits of everything from acupressure to shamanic journeying. I have lived in the suburbs, in the city, in the woods and the in-betweens.

  1. The best style is the style you don’t notice… “Enjoy Life For Once!” spawns by and large sense of calm and well-being helping manage stress and its impact on body, intensify self-understanding, sharpen focus, concentration, and insight, upholding core values in our personal and professional life….Great Blog!!!

    • Thank you Anna Marie! I am honored! However, I am not accepting awards at this time. I have torn feelings about them based on what I’ve seen from other people. But I am truly grateful, it warms my heart.

      • I totally appreciate your position. Although I was thrilled to get nominated, I struggled about whether to participate, hence the delay from when I received my nomination and subsequently sent out nominations. I wanted to explore and consider which blogs I enjoyed reading and truly wished to recognized. Take care and I look forward to reading future posts.
